Hmmm, that's a mighty conservative/traditional looking representation. Given the prior entry, I would have thought this graphic would be more Pam's 'style', lol

But notice the English/Romanticized spelling in that graphic as Kung, I've also seen it as Göng Hei Fat Choi for Cantonese, and Mandarin: Göng Shi/Xi Fa Chai. Worst of all, I recently became aware that Kwan is pronounced more like Guan, which has simply devastated me ;). I mean, how am I supposed to be 'Kwanstruck' when 'Shelly goes to the Olympics in a few weeks, and try to be 'Guanstruck'...just doesn't have the same ring/sound to it :-(. Regardless of her groin injury, I don't think she has much of chance to hit gold other than sheer perfection-even when fully healthy. But still, she's going; root for our hometown gal Michelle (Michelle Kwan Passes Olympic Committee Muster)

Oh well, Pam; what is important is that you're with family, not that you update the blog!

Soooo, what kind of food where you pigging out on :) ?

I hope maybe, the simple traditional/very old-fashioned prepared hot bird's nest soup; and not *ewwww*, some fancy 'nouvelle' apricot sweetened or dessert concoction?
Chinese Celebrating New Year in New Style What's so bad about centuries 'old-style' may I ask, especially when such fare tastes a whole lot better than the new (last couple of decades) fandangled s**t they are promoting these days?

Wealthy Chinese Celebrate New Year with Exotic, Extravagant, Exhorbitant Banquets

50yr old tea? 'three-headed' Japanese abalone for $2,400. And you're telling me you can appreciate any great discernible difference between standard high quality preparations of the same kinds of ingredients? A fool and his money... Masa, Urasawa ;). Dim Sum gluttony for this poor old food fool, rich in satisfaction.
