I promise not to get in your way.

My job is to guide you through this taco recipe.

Lets make some tacos from scratch throw away the mixes, the cans, the jars, and for sure the grease! Not allowed on my site.

Relax, I have done this before. Lets look at the spices and the right products for this recipe.

Ground beef
(I prefer ground chuck)
Salt
Chili powder
Paprika
Cumin
Garlic powder or 2 cloves
Bell pepper
Onion

Instructions for taco recipe:

Let's take 2 pounds of ground beef in 2 quart sauce pan add 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of chili power, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or 2 chopped garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 2 tablespoons of paprika. Enough water to cover meat.

Bring to a boil. Simmer over medium low heat about an hour. I will check in about 15 minutes take a potato masher break up the meat a little don't want it to cook up in lumps.

Repeat this process 2 or 3 more times. Also make sure we don't run dry of water. Add water if needed. Hour over already!

OK, add 1/2 medium chopped onion, 1/2 medium chopped bell pepper, continue cooking 20 or 30 more minutes.

"Now lets go that extra mile!"

Remove from stove pour into strainer. Let set for 10 or 15 minutes to make sure all grease was removed. At this point we do want to keep the liquid.sportsbook Now lets remove the grease from the liquid.

Tip> Place in freezer for a few minutes. When grease separates and starts to hardened take spoon and remove. Should have very little liquid left.

1/2 cup would be fine. Place in small pan bring to a boil. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of corn starch in 1/4 cup of cold water add to liquid simmer 4 or 5 minutes. Fold into meat. Now we have a tasty moist taco, grease free.

Looks like a lot of work. Lots of cooking. Not at all. While cooking this, I could be waiting on tables.

Try this. Take a box of salt, pour some into small bowl, get out all your measuring spoons start with 1/4 teaspoon dip in bowl, then place in hand get a feel pour back in bowl.

Now with fingers, dip back into bowl get 1/4 teaspoon. Repeat with all spoons till you get it right. This is the way I teach my cooks. Less time consuming. A faster cook, on the way to being a chef.

Take meat spices and water, put in 2 quart sauce pan. Less than 2 minutes right! Now we are cooking and having fun. Guess what, when having fun our food tastes better.

Look at what we have done! Now that we have our taco meat cooked,we are ready for

Beef Taquitos|Beef Flautas|Taco Recipe|Beef Burrito
Beef Nachos|Beef and Cheese Quesadillas|Soft Beef Tacos
Beef Enchiladas| Beef Chalupas.
Plus you can add some of your own. Look for the version of the recipe you want, and start building.
http://www.enterbet.comUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09559440378479313077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11953123.post-1167583727244214832006-12-31T08:48:00.000-08:002006-12-31T08:48:00.000-08:00some people just like to rag on about just about e...some people just like to rag on about just about everything...I am thrilled to be able to run to Makena and know that I can pick up a beautiful fresh fruit smoothy from the Jawz Truck. Makena Beach is one the most beautiful places in the world. There are colorful fish and green sea turtles swimming in the water with me, and it's nice to know that I have something healthy inside of me.
People get all crazy complaining about tourist traps.
The Jawz truck in the parking lot at Makena was put there on request. Tourist complained that there was no food or drink at the beach. If you want an empty island that does not cater to tourists, go to Molokai or Kauai.
By the way, there is an amazing grocery store called Mana foods in Paia. Everyone goes there. You can get anything there, including the healthiest. Fix your own food. Stay at the Spy Glass in Paia...pretend you live there...and imagine what you might do to bring in income and survive on Maui...a truck on the beach road?
Or perhaps you'd rather sit in an office all day at a computer.
By the way, some people return to Maui again and again and have never left their hotel. They never go to Makena and have never explored Haleakala. Hard to imagine, but they still love going back. Each to his own.
Chill.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11953123.post-1162860737600638102006-11-06T16:52:00.000-08:002006-11-06T16:52:00.000-08:00DG...your Hawaii taco posts are making me really r...DG...your Hawaii taco posts are making me really really sad.
